Perfect Fall Coat

Hey Everyone,

Today on the blog I’m sharing the perfect fall coat.  I wore this coat on my Europe trip and kept getting asked where it was from, so I decided to do a blog post on it!  I picked this coat up from Boohoo a couple of months ago thinking it was the perfect coat for fall.  It’s only $35CAD which I think is a steal!  The coat is one size fits all, however, it does fit on the smaller side.  I got the coat in the colour ‘stone’, it also comes in 8 different colours!

In this post I’m also wearing my BP Choker sweater dress and BP boots.  I have linked all of the products below.

Twist Back Sweater

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today I’m sharing one of my favourite fall sweaters from Rosegal that’s only $20 dollars – yes you heard that right!  This style is really popular right now, the twist back detail is really unique!  When I saw that this one was priced for $20 I thought I would give it a try!  I have to say I’m so impressed with the quality of this piece, especially at the price point.  It’s really comfortable and super stylish on!

I paired the sweater with my Rag and Bone jeans and Gucci Disco bag.  I’m also wearing my BP boots I picked up last year. This year’s model doesn’t come in this light grey colour, but it comes in three other colours that are also nice for fall (I have provided the link below).

If you’re looking for a cheap sweater that’s on trend, I would highly recommend this one!

Cozy Pink Sweater!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

It’s finally feeling like fall up in Canada, which means its sweater weather!  I recently made a trip to Nordstrom and picked up some new sweaters for the fall season.  One of my current favourites is this pink bell sleeve sweater.  Its so comfortable!  I paired it with my white rage and bone jeans and my BP boots.  Whoever said you can’t wear white after labour day had no creativity.  My trick is to always pair it with a current fall trend – like a cozy sweater!

Lace Ballerina Dress

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today on the blog I’m finally sharing one of my favourite dresses.  I shot this look at the Palais Royal in Paris!  The Palais has a controversial art installation called Les Deux Plateaux that was installed in the 80s.  It’s made of these stripes columns of varying sizes that have been placed throughout the courtyard.  It made the perfect backdrop for this look!

I picked up this dress from  I wanted to take a lace dress with me to Paris and when I saw this one, I knew it was perfect!  This dress has an open back which makes it really unique.  I love wearing lace dresses in the fall and winter, they have such a unique elegance to them.    Tobi tends to have frequent sales, so typically you can get this dress 50% off.  Also, if it’s your first time ordering from Tobi you can get 50% off your first order which is an amazing deal!

I wanted to also wish all of my fellow Canadians a very happy thanksgiving.  I hope everyone’s had a nice long weekend!

Paris Travel Guide

Hey Everyone!

Today on the blog I’m sharing my Paris travel guide!  I had to split up this guide between Paris and Rome since there’s so much information to share!

I can honestly say Paris and Rome were two of the most romantic cities I have ever visited.  My boyfriend Chris and I had so much fun exploring, eating and learning about the cultures.  Even though we were only overseas for 10 days it felt like a lot longer!

In this post, I’m doing an Instagram round up so you can shop the looks.  After that I’m doing a full trip recap of where we stayed, what we ate and what to visit!  Ill be posting my Rome Travel guide in the coming days so stayed tuned!

Did you really go to Paris if you don’t sit on a ledge in front of the Eiffel Tower?

This trip was one to remember, we had such an amazing time in both cities.  There was so much to see and do, it was hard to fit everything in!

Paris is such a unique city.  All of the streets are lined with white and beige buildings with wrought iron balconies and enormous ornate doors.  There’s cafes on every corner, that all have outdoor seating.  I don’t think patio season ever ends in Paris since the cold weather didn’t stop anyone from eating outside!  Chris and I spent a total of 5 days in the city which was a significant amount of time, but we still didn’t get around to seeing everything.  There are so many museums and sites to visit, its impossible to visit them all!

Where to stay

Chris and I stayed at the Aparthotel Adagio.  It’s located in the 9 eme which is the Opera, Pigalle.  This hotel was within walking distance of a lot of the tourist sites like the Louvre, Eiffle Tower, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur and many more.  The neighbourhood we were in was also amazing, there was such good shopping and restaurants which made the trip really enjoyable!

Here are some other suggestions on where to stay.

Pricer Side (with views of Eiffle Tower):

  1. Hotel Plaza Athenee
  2. Shangri-la Paris

Affordable Side:

  1. Hotel Atmospheres Paris
  2. Hotel Georgette

Air B&B also has amazing options.  Check out this blog article that shares some rentals that have views of the Eiffel Tower: Eiffle Tower Views

Where to eat

A lot of our meals were eaten in small cafes that we stumbled upon as we explored.  We did however eat at three places that were super memorable.

Auguste – Chris and I decided to try out a Michelin Star Restaurant while we were in Paris since we don’t have any near our hometown.  This restaurant did not disappoint.  We were served 5 courses with wine parings.  The food was absolutely amazing, by far the best seafood I have ever eaten.  If you’re in Paris, I would highly recommend.  The 5 course Chef’s choice with wine pairings was great and I’m sure a la carte would be fantastic as well.

Au View Paris D’Arcole – This cafe is nestled on a side street next to Notre Dame Cathedral.  Chris and I went for drinks and apps which consisted of escargot (blog post to come) and French onion soup.  What an experience, it was by far the best french onion soup I have ever tasted and the escargot was something to remember.  We had a great time visiting this cafe.  I’ll be doing a blog post on my experience here within the month!

Auberge de la reine blanche – We ate our last meal in Paris at this restaurant and WOW did we ever save the best for last.  If you’re looking for amazing authentic french cuisine, served in a small cozy restaurant setting this is the place!  The food was fantastic, I would recommend getting the Beef Bourgignon.  After we ate we briefly chatted with a party of 6 outside the restaurant who told us they’d been going to this place for 15 years!  I can totally see why, if we return we will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

Things to See

This was the hardest list to put together since there are so many things to see in Paris!  I’m going to be putting together a list of the top instagrammable places in Paris in the coming month.  However, I thought I would put together this listing of iconic places as a starter.

  1. The Louvre – You must see the Mona Lisa
  2. Sacre Coeur – Amazing views of the entire city
  3. Arc de Triomphe – a site to see, you can also climb to the top to get views of the city
  4. The Eiffel Tower – no explanation needed
  5. Notre Dame Cathedral – a stunning church with amazing views
  6. Pont  Alexandre III – This is the most beautiful bridge I have ever seen.  Chris and I stumbled upon it as we walked along the Seine one morning
  7. Laduree – You must check out Laduree and have some of their macroons
  8. Versailles – If you visit Paris you need to make a day trip out to Versaille.  It’s such a beautiful palace and the grounds are spectacular
  9. The catacombs of Paris – if your feeling adventurous head underground into the catacombs
  10. Musee de L’orangerie – This museum has beautiful paintings of Monet

Travel Tips

  1. Figure out where your airport is and how long it’ll take you to get there.  Chris and I made the mistake of assuming one of our airports was close to the city.  Little did we know it would actually take us 3 hours to get to and we almost missed our flight!
  2. Skip the line tours are awesome!  Chris and I decided to skip the line at a lot of the tourists attractions which turned out to be an amazing choice!  Yes, you pay additional money, however it saved us hours of waiting
  3. Keep your belongings close – there are pick pockets in the city that you need to be careful about
  4. If you’re trying to save money, eat at cafes farther away from tourist attractions.  A couple of streets makes a huge difference in the amount of money you will pay for a meal
  5. To avoid tourists, get up early!  Chris and I watched the sun rise at the Eiffle tower at 7:45am which was a really amazing experience.  We were able to beat all the crowds and shared a really magical moment!

The Pleated Skirt

Hey Everyone!

Today on the blog I’m sharing this pleated skirt I picked up from Boohoo.  I’ve been looking for a pleated skirt for ages!  I think they’re so easy to wear and they look so stylish on.  I’m heading to France and Rome in 3 days so I wanted to bring one on my trip with me.  I decided to take a look at Boohoo since they have so much selection at really affordable prices.  When I saw this lavender colour skirt I fell in love!  The material is super light weight but there’s enough of it to keep you warm during cooler days.  I paired the skirt with a white crop I got from Tobi, my neverfull Louis Vuitton and some fresh flowers of course.

I also showed this look with my Dynamite Rose Duster coat.  It’s my favourite coat right now, I just love the colour and weight of it!

Hope you enjoy this look!
